Design and Build Contract to Railway Standards

Construction of a new first storey 180 space car park over an existing ground level carpark.

Constructed with a steel frame on RC piled caps with a RC deck constructed on steel decking.

Foundations and frame designed to accommodate a second deck – due to be constructed in 2008

Access and egress ramps and protection walls in reinforced concrete construction.

Works were managed such that a large proportion of the existing ground level car park remained open during construction.

Steelwork was delivered and erected at weekends to minimise disruption.
