Buckingham are an innovative business and certainly different from others in that we proactively encourage sustainable design and constructional practices throughout the life-cycle of our multi-sector projects.

We consider that we are at the forefront of understanding the CO2e impact of our constructional activities both below and above ground and have been tangibly reducing these impacts wherever we can.

To independently verify our reductions, we have become Diamond Members of the dcarbon8 Supply Chain Network. Working with dcarbon8, the Buckingham business operations and some of our sites have been certified Planet Positive.

This means that we have measured, reduced and offset the carbon footprint by 110%: "A product, person or business is Planet Positive™ if it has measured and verified a net positive impact on the planet, its ecosystems and its people."

We have helped our Clients to understand the embodied CO2e within their development projects and we were proud to be the Main Contractor on the first Planet Positive Regional Distribution Centre development in the UK (ProLogis Pineham, 620,000ft²).

Our knowledge doesn't stop there; In 2007, we enabled the generation of >$1M of Carbon Credits through innovative thinking in developing sustainable CO2e reduction schemes on our multi-sector sites.

We aim to integrate our CO2e experience into all sectors of business to deliver these smart thinking gains to our Clients.
