Constructing a Sustainable Future

Wherever possible, we promote a sustainable approach to the work we undertake whether that be in the development of sustainable remediation strategies for contaminated sites, the efficient recycling of materials from demolition sites or the procurement of renewable energy systems in the buildings we construct. By working in this way, we are able to pass on these benefits to our Clients.

As an ISO 14001 accredited company, we have a three year plan of goals to achieve in terms of waste reduction, increased recycling, reduced energy usage, lowering of emissions and reduction in the use of raw materials. These targets form part of our Group Environmental Management System and continuous improvement is audited on a 6-monthly basis.

At Buckingham Group, we have a team of professionals from different disciplines of our business who continually investigate and challenge the many ways we can reduce the carbon footprint for our clients, this includes looking at how we operate our business from using efficient engines in our vehicles, or powering our site cabins using renewable energy to challenging standard building designs and recommending the use of renewable energy which have been properly investigated for their specific suitability.

Because of our diversity, we are able to consider an array of options outside the usual list of green ideas. This makes us unique and means that at what ever stage of the project, we can add value.
